Whenever a full time opening is available, notices are made directly by telephone and in writing (follow-up) to appropriate agencies listed below. These might include area colleges that have significant minority enrollment. Also notified, in the same manner, are agencies that cater directly to the needs of minorities such as local chapters of the N.A.A.C.P., local Urban League chapters, plus religious organizations and community organizations that provide for minority group communities. Professional on-air openings are listed with regional schools that teach communications.

EASTERN UTAH BROADCASTING COMPANY also attends yearly job fairs and helps to sponsor job fairs presented by others. EASTERN UTAH BROADCASTING COMPANY should participate in at least two (2) job fairs per year. As required, EASTERN UTAH BROADCASTING COMPANY conducts regular assessments of its outreach efforts. Community sources that do not produce acceptable results will be dropped and replaced by other sources that might produce better referrals.

As specified by law, EASTERN UTAH BROADCASTING COMPANY shall:

Provide notice of full time paid job openings to all qualifying organizations that request such notice.

Make reasonable efforts to publicize notification requirements so that qualifying groups can be placed on our contact lists to learn of future vacancies.

Establish internship programs that will assist members of the community in acquiring the skills necessary for a career in radio.

Participate in scholarship programs directed at students desiring a career in broadcasting.

Actively train minority personnel to enable them to acquire the skills that could qualify them for higher level positions (training beyond that which will help them in their current positions.)

Public File Inspection Information
EASTERN UTAH BROADCASTING COMPANY

1. Our Public File is available for viewing during regular business hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (including lunch hour).

2. No prior appointment is necessary to view the public file. We do ask, however, that you fill out a form with your name and local address prior to viewing the file available at the EASTERN UTAH BROADCASTING COMPANY offices.

3. Because the file contains a number of sections, one of our staff members will assist you in removing the items you wish to view from the file. Only one section at a time will be allowed to be removed from the Public File.

4. Photocopies of all material in the Public File are available to you. Our photocopy policy: Each page (single sided) costs 25 cents. Photocopies requested will be available for pick-up within 5 business days, or we will mail them to you. Payment for copies must be made at the time of pickup or prior to mailing.

5. A copy of the publication "The Public and Broadcasting" is available to you to guide you in your examination of the Public File.
